If you've recently received a call or text message from someone claiming to be from Senior Benefit Solutions - especially if it seemed aggressive, pushy, or completely out of the blue - please know: it wasn’t us.
We are the latest target of a growing scam called caller ID spoofing, and we’re not alone. Businesses across the country - and around the world - are being impersonated by bad actors who use our names and phone numbers to trick people into answering the phone.
Spoofing is when a caller deliberately falsifies the information transmitted to your caller ID to disguise their identity. Scammers often spoof legitimate business names and phone numbers, pretending to represent trusted organizations in order to sell unrelated services or even commit fraud.
These calls can seem convincing. The caller ID might say “Senior Benefit Solutions,” and the person on the line may claim to offer Medicare plans, funeral coverage, or even unrelated products like home warranties or insurance add-ons. In reality, these calls often originate from overseas call centers that have no affiliation whatsoever with our company - or with Medicare.
At Senior Benefit Solutions, we pride ourselves on respectful, 100% permission-based contact with every client and prospect. Our leads come only from:
Educational workshops
Direct mail campaigns
Requested consultations via our website or local partnerships
Opted-in email subscribers
We do not use robocalls. We do not buy third-party lead lists. We do not send SMS messages unless someone has explicitly requested it. And we absolutely do not cold-call.
If you received a call or text you didn’t request or expect, it didn’t come from us - even if our name or number appeared on the screen.
If you suspect a spoofed call:
Do not engage. Hang up immediately.
Report the number to the FTC: https://reportfraud.ftc.gov
Block the number on your phone.
Let us know. We want to track how often this is happening and help protect our community.
This issue is frustrating, harmful, and unfortunately becoming more common. Hospitals, law firms, even local police departments have seen their names spoofed by scammers. We're doing everything in our power to alert our clients and the public.
